| The second edition of this Thomen's classic OLAP Solutions provides a clear and comprehensive explanation of the concepts and best techniques for deploying OLAP -- no matter what tools you're using. Written in a clear and engaging style by one of the leading experts in the field, this book takes you on a comprehensive and richly illustrated journey from the most basic concepts to the most advanced areas of OLAP technology. The book describes both logical OLAP features, such as dimensions and hypercubes, and physical features, such as storage and access methods, and provides real-life case studies to illustrate the concepts. This book has become the standard OLAP reference book- approachable for newcomers, and thorough for practitioners with experience in multiple OLAP environments. | ||

Please note: OLAP Solutions, Second Edition has no accompanying CD-ROM.
Some copies of the first edition contain a CDROM which does not install
the accompanying TM1 software correctly (either stating that a time limit
has expired, or installing a copy that does not run under MS Office 97).
If you experience either difficulty, please download this replacement
SETUP.ZIP (about
3.65 MB). You may need to explicitly load the new add-in (in Microsoft
Excel, TM132.XLA would be added by selecting Tools | Add-ins..., press
Browse..., and locate TM132.XLA in its installation directory). |
