MDX Development and Training
Whether you are developing cubes to support your organization's BI needs or building software that accesses information from a server such as Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services or Oracle Hyperion Essbase, your project will benefit from applying our extensive experience and insight on MDX. We provide development, tuning, training, and mentoring services that will get you up and running on your own with the best solutions and knowledge available anywhere. After all, we wrote the book about it, and we have long experience translating business and non-commercial analytical requirements into MDX-enabled cubes.
And, if you're a software developer, with our experience in software development, we understand how to make it work for software you develop in your own shop.
Microsoft Analysis Services
Since almost all calculations beyond aggregations are specified by MDX, its correct and efficient application is critical. It needs to work with your front-end tool(s) (such as Excel, Reporting Services, NovaView, Proclarity, or PerformancePoint, to name just a few). If you are using a front end which allows you to more fully leverage MDX for reporting purposes (such as SQL Server Reporting Services), then constructing analytical reports that work with your cube is also critical.
We can provide remote and on-site development and mentoring oriented to your needs, and on-site training services to fully arm your staff with the necessary skills for MDX development
Essbase BSO-to-ASO Conversion
In order to take advantage of Essbase ASO (Aggregate Storage Option), you must convert the outline formulas and calc scripts from the block-storage model into appropriate MDX calculations. This employs a new way of thinking about your information model as well as a new language to master. Apply our experience to accelerate your conversion and deployment, and provide you and your staff with the mentoring necessary to maintain and develop new cubes.
